Former President of Givaudan’s Taste & Wellbeing Division joins Manus to help guide the global scale-up and commercialization of sustainable, high-performance bioalternatives
Manus, the proven bioalternatives scale-up platform, today announced the appointment of Louie D’Amico to its Board of Directors. D’Amico brings more than 35 years of global leadership experience in the flavors, taste, and wellbeing industries. Most recently, he served as President of the Taste & Wellbeing division at Givaudan, a global leader in the creation of flavors and fragrances.

D’Amico’s experience in building customer-driven, growth-oriented businesses aligns closely with Manus’ purpose: accelerating the transition to bioalternatives by delivering the benefits of biomanufacturing, today. His leadership helped shape one of the industry’s most successful product portfolios, and his insight into complex global markets strengthens Manus’ board at a pivotal time.

The appointment reflects Manus’ continued investment in world-class leadership as it commercializes a next-generation portfolio of bioalternatives from its scale-up manufacturing platform, including through its strategic partnership, The Sweetener Alliance, with Tate & Lyle.
During his tenure at Givaudan, D’Amico held a range of global leadership roles, including President of Taste & Wellbeing (2018-2025), Commercial Head of the Americas Flavors business (2010-2018), and Commercial Head of EAME (2006-2010), overseeing strategic partnerships and business development across North America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. He began his career with the company in 1989, holding commercial and strategic positions in Key Account Management, Sales, and Marketing in both the U.S. and Switzerland.
