Manus, a leader in metabolic engineering and synthetic biology, announced today that it has been awarded a prestigious National Science Foundation grant under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. This Phase I award ($150,000) supports the development of an advanced fermentation process for the synthesis of a high value biochemical used in a variety of consumer products.
